I've always loved photography. When I was little, I had a little hot pink 110mm film camera, which brandished willy nilly while accompanying my sister's Girl Scout troop to Washington DC or ambushing people in random places. I also have a keen love of nature. I had acquired an entry level DSLR camera pre-pandemic with the goal of doing some concert photography. When the pandemic hit, I had to change tactics. 

I love nature, and the upside to the lockdowns was that being outside was one of the few things we could actually DO offline. We live close enough to Cape Cod that my husband and I would pick a day a week (Fridays or Sundays) and head out to explore some seashore, unbothered by tourists, traffic, and pesky diseases. And I would be armed with my trusty Nikon, trying to capture some of the drama and whimsy of the Massachusetts seashore. Since the world opened back up, the tourists have returned, which makes getting a sweeping vista more difficult, but it's a new challenge and leads to more exploration.
